My First Visit
Upon arriving at our office, our staff will provide you with a Patient History form that will help us understand your problem better. If you have been in an automobile accident, you will be given an Automobile Accident form.
Consultation With Doctor
After your paperwork is complete, our staff will bring you back to our examination room for a consultation with your doctor. At this time, you will be able to discuss your problem with the doctor and ask any specific questions you may have. The doctor will then determine if your condition is one that may be corrected through our Orthospinology care.
The doctor will order various orthopedic and neurological tests that pertain to your condition. These tests may include range of motion, posture analysis, and leg length balance.
To further evaluate your problem, you will have an Infrared Scan performed on your spine. This is a completely painless procedure that identifies areas of inflammation and/or irritated nerves in the body. This scan will produce a print-out that you will be given on your 2nd visit.
X-rays & Analysis
Specific cervical x-rays will be taken, generally 1 from the side, the front, and the top of the neck to create a 3 dimensional view of the spine. Depending on your particular condition, x-rays of other areas may be taken as well. After your x-rays, your doctor will analyze them to determine if any spinal misalignment is present. If so, the Orthospinology analysis will measure the exact degree of imbalance, as well as calculate a formula to correct the misalignment.
Report of Findings & First Adjustment
Your doctor will explain his examination and x-ray findings. You will be adjusted using the Grostic-Orthospinology technique with either a light hand adjustment or the Orthospinology Hand-Held instrument. There is no twisting or cracking involved with either of these adjusting instruments. Other areas of the spine may be addressed using protocols specific to your needs.
